Engine Code for Version 1.1.1 of the ETC Has Been Released

The JWST Exposure Time Calculator (ETC) Python engine version 1.1.1 has been released. While the ETC web application was updated on July 6, the associated engine code was just released last week.

Version 1.1.1 of the engine includes the following:

  • Target acquisition modes
  • The exposure times are now consistent with APT
  • Performance enhancements, in particular for NIRISS SOSS
  • Updated reference data for all instruments
  • Many bugfixes, including:
    • Fixed a bug in the 3D product for IFUs that led to incorrect noise
    • MIRI exposure times have been corrected
