The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) will launch in less than two years (October 2018).  Calls for proposals for both the Director’s Discretionary Early Release Science (DD-ERS) (JDox) and Cycle 1 Guaranteed Time Observers (GTO) (JDox) programs have been released.  Summer 2017 will be a busy time in the life cycle of JWST and one of your best opportunities to prepare for Cycle 1 General Observer (GO) proposals is the 230th AAS meeting (June 4-8, 2017).  March 2, 2017 marks both the deadline for abstract submission for the 230th AAS meeting and the 1-year mark for JWST GO Cycle 1 science proposal deadline (March 2, 2018).  Submit your abstracts for JWST-related posters as part of the JWST Meeting-in-a-Meeting and sign-up for the JWST proposal planning workshop!
