News Feature January 5, 2017

The Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) is pleased to announce that the Calls for Proposals for the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) Director’s Discretionary Early Release Science (DD ERS) (JDox) and Guaranteed-Time Observers  (GTO) (JDox) programs are now available.  With this, JWST community science formally begins.  The goals of the DD ERS program are to ensure open access to representative datasets in support of the preparation of Cycle 2 proposals, and to engage a broad cross-section of the astronomical community in familiarizing themselves with JWST data and scientific capabilities.  An overview of the DD ERS program is provided on the DD ERS webpage.
